Grab your unicorns and step into a cloud! I’m taking you inside the Museum of Ice Cream Miami! This place was MAGICAL! And there is so much to show you, I split into 2 posts. You probably already know how excited I was to visit the Museum of Ice Cream, especially because I made a Sprinkle Pool Cake for one of their events (tutorial coming soon).
Each room is better and more creative than the next. No wonder they are one of the most popular places on Instagram. When you first walk in, the Sprinkle Fortune teller predicts you will have an amazing time, and sure enough, they don’t disappoint. Each room is interactive, nostalgic, fun, creative and so unexpected! You also get a treat as you visit each exhibition. One of my favorite elements is that they pay homage to the city by making a pink sand sculpture room, and one of the sculptures being a replica of South Beach. There’s the banana-cherry-coconut room. The melted ice cream shop. The Gummy Bear room. Even the hallways and staircases are pink, colorful and fun!
And of course, the main star of the Museum is the Sprinkle Pool! Where you play like a little kid, not caring about anyone or anything. At least I did! Lol! Even the shop is all pink and amazing. Although I loved the the Swarovski Crystal Popsicles, at $9000 a pop, I had to leave them there. I ended up buying the super fun especially designed for MOIC pink tassel earrings.
They couldn’t have picked a more perfect location, right on Miami Beach in the middle of the Faena Art District. It’s a strip of hotels, restaurants and shops and close to the Bass Museum of Art and the Art Deco District. You can definitely make a fun weekend out of this trip. I must tell you I felt guilty, because I didn’t take my kids with us (hand in face), but this was almost work (not!). I’m just going to have to go again next year to bring them. I will never get tired of playing in the Sprinkle Pool!
